Uli Colombi

Uli Colombi
Uli Colombi is a Swiss citizen living in Oberofen, a village on the shore of Lake Thun. He is a former sailor, architect and naval architect.
 
Uli has been painting and drawing all his life now specialising in ocean liners and tugs, mainly underway in open seas. He has exhibited widely and in 1988, 2010 and 2011 at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London. 

TSS Oriana
 
Built for the Orient Line in the UK in 1960 she operated on the Australian route. She was de-commissioned in 1988 and scrapped in 2005.

Built in 1888 in London for the Bombay sevice. She was rammed and sunk by the German four mast barque Pisaua in 1912.

Built in Belfast at the Harland and Wolff yard in 1961 for the Australia service. She served as a troopship in the Falklands war in 1982 and was eventually scrapped in 1997.
