After trading for many years the time has finally come to hang up the frames and retire. Our warm thanks to all our loyal clients; your support over the ten years the site has been running has been much appreciated.

Copper engraved map of Kent from James Wallis’s ‘New British Atlas’. The picture probably comes from the S.A. Oddy second edition which was published in 1816.  

 

The map, which has later hand colouring, has a few minor marks and light creases but generally in good conditionis in good condition. Double click image for a closer view. Size of engraved area 260mm x 175mm.

Early copper plate folding strip map of the route from London to Rye via Dulwich, Bromley, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge etc. The map is titled 'The Road from London to Rye in Kent. Actually surveyed, containing from the head of Cornhill in London'.

 

The map, which has later hand colouring, is a little bit grubby with a stain above the top border which will matt out. Price does reflect condition. Double click the image for a more detailed view. Size of engraved area 210mm x 150mm.
