Thames Conservancy, Hopper No 7, circa 1907, off Gravesend?

Thames Conservancy Hopper No 7. Early original photograph of the Clyde built steel screw steamer, launched in 1907. Originally built for the Conservators of the River Thames, ownership was transferred to the Port of London authority in 1909. As the image shows her as Thames Conservancy I would assume this picture was taken prior to her transfer to the PLA. She was broken up in 1982 after a long working life. The card the photograph is mounted on (stuck down) has Gould & Son and Gravesend printed on it.

The photograph is in good condition, the card it is laid on is a little grubby with some minor foxing. Double click image for a more detailed view. Size of image 190mm x 125mm.

Ref no: 3370  Price:  £15.00
